湖北交響樂團是從湖北省歌劇舞劇院二十世紀五十年代后期創(chuàng)作的大型歌劇《洪湖赤衛(wèi)隊》管弦樂隊基礎上發(fā)展起來的，于2010年8月29日正式更名為湖北交響樂團。近年來，在湖北省委省政府、省委宣傳部、省文化廳、及劇院各級領導和社會各界人士的殷切關懷與大力支持下，樂團得到了迅速的發(fā)展�，F(xiàn)樂團成員均來自全國各大音樂學院的優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)生、研究生，海外留學歸來的優(yōu)秀人才以及外籍演奏家，現(xiàn)編制為97人。

　　建團四十年來，樂團足跡踏遍了大江南北，參演了歌劇《洪湖赤衛(wèi)隊》、《櫻花》、《江姐》以及音樂劇《大三峽》等幾十部音樂作品，并在中國國家大劇院首屆“中國交響樂之春”和全國第八屆國際藝術節(jié)音樂會展演中首演了作曲家王世光先生為我團所作的大型交響樂《長江》。同時,樂團每年還獨立演出幾十場交響音樂會，并于2009年9月成功舉辦“德中同行”走進湖北-武漢開幕式音樂會以及2010年6月與法國駐華使館合作，成功演出了中法文化之春大型交響音樂會。

　　通過長期的藝術積累，樂團深受眾多音樂家、業(yè)內(nèi)人士及各新聞媒體的高度贊譽。樂團正逐步走向更職業(yè)化的道路，并將為中國交響樂事業(yè)的發(fā)展貢獻力量。

　　The Introduction of Hubei symphony orchestra

　　Hubei Symphony Orchestra was originated from the orchestra of “Red Guards of the Honghu Lake”, which is a large opera composed by Hubei Opera and Dance Drama Theatre in late 1950s. Hubei Symphony Orchestra is renamed from The Orchestra of Hubei Opera and Dance Drama Theatre in 2010.8.29.In recent years; the Symphony Orchestra has made great progress with the great support and earnest care from Hubei Government, Publicize Dept, and Culture Dept, leaders of the theatre and society people from all works of life. Now the orchestra members include outstanding graduates and postgraduates from Conservatory of Music, excellent talents from overseas and foreign performers, which is prepared for 97 members.

　　During the 40 years since the orchestra established, our symphony orchestra traveled and played north and south of China. Meanwhile, the orchestra played many of operas such as Sakura, Jiang Jie, “Red Guards of the Honghu Lake” as well as musical play The Great Three Gorges. We also played the symphony Yangtze River composed by Mr. Wang Shiguang at China's symphony of spring in China national grand theatre and the 8th international art festival concert. At the same time, the orchestra also plays tens of symphony concerts every year. In September 2009, we hold the opening ceremony for Germany and China in Hubei- Wuhan. In June 2010, we cooperated with France Embassy and played the Festival Croisements symphony concert.

　　Through long-term accumulation of art, the orchestra was praised by many musicians, insiders and presses. We are becoming professionalization, which contributes to Chinese symphony career.
